In 2014 to mark the end of Denmark’s military involvement in especially Afghanistan the Remmen Foundation invited all 63 honorary grant recipients to a donation event followed by a buffet at Hotel d’Angleterre.

At that event, Mrs. Remmen, Chairman of the Remmen Foundation, expressed in her speech that it was a great pleasure for her to be surrounded by so many honorable men/women. “You have all shown yourselves from your bravest side, and it is with great pride that the Remmen Foundation celebrates you today. Congratulations and thank you from all of us in Denmark”.

THE REMMEN FOUNDATION

The Remmen Foundation (Remmen’s Stiftung von 1986) was founded by Henning Remmen in 1986. Originally, the purpose of the Foundation was to operate a variety of commercial activities centered around hotels.

The Remmen Foundation primarily supports projects in Denmark, or projects that benefit Danish people, whether they reside in Denmark or abroad.
