The specific grant for war veterans, ”Henning Remmens Støttefond for Gardere”, was established when Henning Remmen turned 80 years old in 2010.

The Foundation supports Danish guards returning from war. The Foundation primarily supports soldiers, who have suffered physical or psychological harm, but the Foundation also supports guardsmen who have done an outstanding effort, when serving overseas.

The Foundation, established in 2010 has since its beginning donated several millions to soldiers within the Royal Life Guards.

It hands out grants to soldiers and families with special needs on a regular basis. The honorary grants, however, are primarily handed out on the founder’s – Henning Remmen – birthday on 23 February.
