HENNING REMMENS STØTTEFOND FOR GARDERE 2022
“Henning Remmens Støttefond for Gardere” handed out the honorary grants for 2022 at the Royal Life Guard Barracks in Copenhagen.
The Head of the Royal Life Guards Colonel Mads Rahbek, made a personal motivational speech to all 5 grant recipients, after which Mrs. Remmen, Chairman of the Remmen Foundation, congratulated and presented the grants to each recipient.
A special donation was presented this year by the Remmen Foundation to the Chairman of the Friends of the Livgarden Historiske Samlings Venner, Georg Vind.
The donation makes it possible to arrange a soccer match between the Danish Royal Life Guards and the Swedish Svea Life Guards at Rosenborg Square on 13 August 2022.
The match will mark the 100th anniversary of the first soccer battle between the Livgarden and its Swedish sister regiment – believed to be one of the very first soccer battles between Denmark and Sweden.
In addition, Master of Ceremonies, Chamberlain Lasse Harkjær and Major Søren P. Østergård received a special grant for taking the initiative in 2021, to visit all the graves of fallen Royal Life Guards.
The Remmen Foundation thanks all the Royal Life Guards for their great efforts and congratulates the grant recipients.
